Bursaries
Highgate offers a bursary suite that currently supports 88 children across the senior school, with up to 100 per cent fee remission (the average level of support is currently 94 per cent). These awards are available to eligible new entrants at 7+, 11+ and 16+ and are subject to a full financial history and annual review.
The school estimates that a gross family income of below £45,000 would qualify for a full-fee award, while a gross income of below £70,000 may merit some level of support. The school also offers one bursary each year to a child whose parents are key workers (i.e someone who is employed by the public sector, in a frontline role, delivering an essential public service such as a doctor, teacher or member of the armed forces). These awards are still means tested, but with a more generous top-end cap.
