Oban High School

Steeped in its Scottish heritage, Oban High School in Argyll has a clan system which was introduced in 1928 and sees every pupil joining one of the four school clans: Ossian, Fingal, Somerled or Diarmid. Weekly assemblies and competitions from sports matches to debates foster strong allegiances and leadership skills. Alongside academics, there is a rich variety of activities, including playing in a pipe band, treading the boards, creative writing, LGBT club and an eco committee.
