On the edge of the New Forest, some 100 acres of ancient woodland forms the fantastic setting for Walhampton School’s pre-prep. Children can start at the nursery at age two where play-based activities follow the EYFS guidelines.  In Reception, practical learning extends to growing vegetables, feeding chickens and a weekly forest school session for muddy-kneed fun come rain or shine (tree climbing, collecting leaves, building shelters – waterproofs are provided).  Children also make regular visits to the main school’s ICT suite, library and chapel, and for othe...
