Caldicott Launches The Hitchin Scholarship
The Hitchin Scholarship offers Year 7 boys a potentially fully-funded place at Caldicott and beyond. Our first scholarship of this kind, Mr Banks is incredibly excited to be able to see this project finally come to fruition.
Caldicott is delighted to launch The Hitchin Scholarship, designed to welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, who in addition to having strong academic potential, are able to offer their creative or sporting talent to enrich our school community.
Thanks to several generous donations from Caldicott parents, we are now in the position to offer up to five part or fully-funded 11+ places to boys who would join us as boarders in Year 7 and stay on until the end of Year 8. Moreover, we anticipate that the opportunities provided by the Hitchin Scholarship will not stop after the boys’ time at Caldicott until the end of Year 8, but will be extended all the way until they’re 18, through our close relationships with the top public schools in the UK.
With our 40 acres of beautiful greenbelt grounds, extensive sports and performing arts facilities and our inspirational teachers, we pride ourselves on nurturing academic excellence while cherishing childhood. We are looking for boys with a passion for learning, with good character and with a particular talent in sport or the arts.
An application form can be obtained from our Director of Admissions, Lisa Botwright, via and the deadline to register is 31 January 2022.
