News from the Science Department

Following the success of the first round of the Science Quiz Club competition, we were asked to participate in the semi-finals of this year's National event.

From Year 5 - Benji H, Sriganesh S, Henry C, Jaiden P - and from Year 6, Roshan P, Konstantin M, Declan M, and Gregory N used their science and general knowledge throughout the 30-question set challenge. 

Split into two teams, each had to work collaboratively, using each other's expertise to help them move through the rounds. The points quickly added up, and we saw Shrewsbury House's name in first place after just two rounds. The questions became more challenging, and the boys really had to use logic to figure out the correct answers. A special mention to Gregory N who came 25th on his individual placings for the whole event. Our final team result leaves us hoping that enough has been done to make it to the final at Oxford University. Very well done to all participants from both teams.
