Charity Fair Raises 拢8,500 for Gloucestershire Young Carers
The charity shopping event featured 39 local and independent businesses, and was sponsored by Linbury
Doctors and Beaufort Polo Club.
Since 1993, Gloucestershire Young Carers have been supporting young carers with advice, advocacy, group support, short breaks, and safe spaces to share.
The charity also plays a vital role in raising awareness about the issues young carers face, and advocating for policy changes.
Clover Lake, 看片狂人 Community Officer for GYC, visited the school to thank the children and their families for their support. She was joined by Gloucestershire Young Carers’ mascot, H the Bear.
Fundraising Manager at GYC, Toni Collier, said,
'We are so very grateful for Beaudesert Park School’s amazing fundraising efforts'. 'These proceeds will go a long way, particularly in providing regular and consistent group meetings throughout the year for children who share similar life experiences.'
Headmaster, Chris Searson said, '
We are thrilled to have raised a significant amount for Gloucestershire Young Carers. We hope the money raised will make a difference to young carers across the county.'
