Finborough Student Selected for Northampton Saints Rugby Academy
Finborough School is proud to announce that Sixth Form student Henry Lumley has been selected to join the Northampton Saints Senior Academy for the 2025/26 season.
Henry is one of just eight talented young players chosen to join the prestigious Premiership Rugby club’s academy, marking a significant milestone in his rugby journey. His selection follows an outstanding season with the Saints’ Under-18 side, which culminated in a championship victory in the Premiership Rugby Academy League final earlier this year.
Henry also represented England in the Under-18 Six Nations Festival, showcasing his skill and determination on the international stage. His commitment to both his academic and athletic development has made him a standout member of the Finborough community.

The Northampton Saints Academy Head Coach, Mr. Charlie Reed, praised Henry for his mature character and self-awareness, noting that his “distribution and defensive understanding are his key points of difference.'
