Box Hill School will join Reigate Grammar School Group of Schools
The RGS Group is proud to announce that Box Hill School will join its family of schools from June 2025, relaunching as RGS Surrey Hills.
This strategic partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the RGS Group, which includes Reigate Grammar School – The Sunday Times Independent School of the Year 2025 – alongside a network of thriving prep and international schools. These include Chinthurst and St Christopher’s in Epsom, as well as Reigate St Mary’s and Micklefield in Reigate.
RGS Surrey Hills is a small, inclusive, co-educational 11–18 day and boarding school in a beautiful rural setting near Box Hill. It is a member of HMC and a founding member of the international association of Round Square schools with positive and aligned values. RGS Surrey Hills is academically ambitious and offers IB and A Levels and a genuine international community just 20 minutes from Reigate. RGS Surrey Hills will remain a separate school with its own head, leadership team, teaching staff, community, and identity. It has a huge amount to offer.

Importantly, Reigate Grammar School and RGS Surrey Hills will remain fully independent in character and admissions. Each will offer a clear, separate pathway to success.

The partnership also unlocks future shared enrichment opportunities for both schools and for the prep schools in the group - including access to improved facilities, even more co-curricular opportunities , and new post-16 options including studying the IB and sixth form boarding. It offers valuable reassurance to families at RGS prep schools, providing a guaranteed pathway through to age 18 at one of the RGS senior schools. The prep and pre-prep schools included are Chinthurst and St Christopher’s in Epsom, along with Reigate St Mary’s and Micklefield in Reigate.
