Claremont School to open Sports Park from 2026
Claremont School in St Leonard鈥檚 has today announced a major new investment in its sporting
facilities.
Backed by the International Schools Partnership (ISP), the initiative marks a significant step in the school’s long-term development plans. The Claremont Sports Park, launching in2026, will be a purpose-built hub designed to enrich the physical education experience and support the school’s expanding sports curriculum from prep to senior level.The development will include:
鈼 A new full-sized floodlit 3G all-weather pitch, located at the Prep School site in St Leonard’s, which will provide a year-round training and competition venue for football and support the continued growth of the school’s Football Academy.
鈼 Resurfacing of the existing astroturf pitch, ensuring students can enjoy top-quality facilities for hockey, netball, tennis and more.
鈼 Comprehensive renovation of the sports hall at the Prep School, including refurbished changing rooms and public areas, along with an upgraded playing surface to support a broad range of indoor sports.

The new facilities will elevate both the Prep and Senior school’s sports provision: footballers will benefit from a professional-grade surface, reducing travel time for training and fixtures, while core sports such as cricket, hockey and netball will continue to thrive. A refreshed curriculum at the Prep School will also introduce greater emphasis on swimming, rugby, basketball and non-core sports - ensuring every student finds their passion.
