IB Results Open Doors Worldwide for Bryanston Pupils

Bryanston is delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) success. Results released on 6 July show an average successful Diploma score of 34 points, comfortably above the global mean of 30.58.

Building on the school’s long-standing record of global university destinations, the 2025 year group has continued this legacy by submitting 45 applications in 14 countries, in addition to the UK, including:

·         USA – pupils accepted at universities including Columbia University, Tufts, Boston College, Georgia State and NYU.
·         Canada – offers from McGill University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto.
·         Continental Europe – offers from leading universities in Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany.
·         Asia鈥慞acific & beyond – offers from countries including Hong Kong, Australia, and the UAE.
·         UK – offers from Edinburgh University, University of St Andrews and University of Leeds, for IB pupils, amongst others.

Alongside traditional academic routes, this year’s leavers demonstrate their versatility across a range of courses around the globe, from business and finance to fashion and hospitality.

IBDP Coordinator Ed Pyke commented: “Our 2025 IB cohort exemplifies the curiosity, diligence and international-mindedness the programme is designed to encourage. Their diverse destinations show there is no single ‘type’ of IB pupil at Bryanston and the Bryanston Method allows each young person to develop and flourish in their own way.”

Head Richard Jones added: “Congratulations to the Class of 2025. Your achievements and the remarkable range of opportunities now open to you, are a testament to the dedication of both pupils and staff. Equally impressive is that within this group we have sportsmen and women, dancers, DJs, actors, and musicians who have thrived in Bryanston’s rich co-curricular life alongside their academic studies.”

Bryanston is the only school in the UK to offer its own unique teaching method based on the Dalton Plan, the Bryanston Method, a distinctive, highly personalised model of teaching and learning. Every pupil is paired with a one-to-one tutor and sixth formers are given dedicated periods (known as CPs) built into the timetable each week, where they discuss and evaluate their work in small groups with a subject teacher. This university-style approach, perfectly aligned with the demands of the IB, develops intellectual curiosity, self-discipline and a passion for studying a broad range of courses worldwide, qualities clearly reflected in this year’s IB results.

Bryanston remains one of only a handful of UK schools to offer IB, A Levels and CTECs, side- by-side, ensuring every pupil can follow the curriculum that best suits them and their aspirations.
