Springmead School Celebrates Successful ISI Inspection Outcome
Springmead School has successfully met every standard in its latest ISI inspection, reflecting the strength of its academic provision, pastoral care and inclusive community ethos.
Springmead School is delighted to share the outcome of its most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, confirming that the school has successfully met every required standard.
The inspection offered a comprehensive review of all aspects of school life, including leadership and management, the quality of education, pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing, social and economic education, and safeguarding. The positive outcome highlights Springmead’s continued commitment to delivering a high-quality, well-rounded education within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Inspectors recognised not only the school’s strong academic provision and careful preparation for onward senior school destinations, but also the distinctive culture that defines daily life at Springmead. The report celebrates the school’s caring ethos, inclusive values and strong sense of community.
Notably, inspectors observed:
“Leaders provide a safe and happy environment where individuality is celebrated. Leaders recognise that all pupils have something positive to bring to the community and champion the school's core values through the ‘Springmead Way’. As a result, the pupils enjoy coming to school.”
The report also praised the school’s Reception provision, highlighting the strength of its early years foundation:
"In Reception, provision is developed further to include specific maths and writing areas. This allows the children to develop their skills through appealing tasks such as number games and counting activities with concrete apparatus. The levels of engagement are high and the children demonstrate well-developed knowledge, skills and understanding in all areas."
Under the current ISI framework, inspections no longer award headline grades. Instead, schools are assessed against a rigorous set of standards and judged on whether they meet them. Springmead is proud to have fulfilled every requirement, reflecting the strength and consistency of its provision across all areas of school life.
