Queen’s College Prep School Welcomes New Co-Heads
Queen’s College Prep School (QCPS) is delighted to announce that Georgia Habanananda and Ailsa Buddle take up their roles as Co-Heads this week, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the school.
Located in the heart of Portland Place, QCPS is a vibrant and nurturing community of girls from 3-11 where every pupil is encouraged to be boldly curious, confident and ambitious. With a proud heritage and strong links to Queen’s College, London - recognised among Spear’s Top 100 independent schools globally in 2026 - the Prep School offers an education grounded in academic excellence and exceptional pastoral care.
Georgia Habanananda and Ailsa Buddle bring a wealth of experience and a shared vision centred on the belief that every child flourishes when she is known, supported and inspired.
Ailsa Buddle began her career following a joint honours degree in Hispanic Studies and Drama at the University of Birmingham and a PGCE in Spanish from Nottingham Trent University. She has taught across a range of schools in Nottingham and London, with particular expertise in preparing pupils for key examinations and the transition to senior school. Since joining QCPS in 2014 as Head of Modern Foreign Languages, she has held several senior roles including Head of English, Head of Prep and, most recently, Deputy Head Academic. She is passionate about fostering confident, independent learners who embrace challenge and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Georgia Habanananda, originally from Sydney, Australia, holds a Bachelor of Arts/¿´Æ¬¿ñÈË and has taught across diverse London communities including Islington, Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Her experience spans all prep year groups from EYFS to Form VI, shaping her inclusive and multi-sensory approach to teaching. She recently completed a master’s level Postgraduate Certificate in Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) Dyslexia, equipping her with specialist expertise to support pupils with a range of learning needs. Since joining QCPS in 2019 as Head of Learning Support, she has also served as Head of Inclusion and Deputy Head, leading on safeguarding, wellbeing and support for families.
Together, the new Co-Heads are committed to championing the whole child, nurturing curiosity, and fostering a warm and inclusive environment where every girl feels known and valued. Their leadership will continue to ensure that pupils are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education, whether at Queen’s College, London or beyond.
Richard Tillett continues as Principal of both Queen’s College and Queen’s College Prep School, ensuring strong alignment between the two schools and a shared ethos that supports each pupil’s journey from Prep through to College.
